Our Vision & Mission

Vision: To create an inclusive, equitable and empowered society where every person with visual impairment can live with dignity, independence, equal opportunity and full participation in education, employment and community life.

Mission: Our mission is

  • To take care of the Visually Impaired community, other category of persons with disability, physically disadvantageous people and socio-economically backward people of Odisha to ensure, promote and protect their equal participation and socio-economic inclusion in the society.
  • To act or to initiate action plan like opening of educational institutions from pre-primary to Higher Education (School, college, Research and Development Centre and University) for the PwDs, marginalized and weaker section of the society in the state of Odisha.
  • To impart Training for the purpose of skill development of PwDs, Physically disadvantageous groups, Socio-economically disadvantageous people and for teachers, student, entrepreneurs, unskilled and semiskilled labours.
  • To establish institution for health care like Eye Care Clinic, Low Vision Centre, therapeutic Centre, Early Intervention Centre, ambulance services and to lunch health awareness campaign.
  • To work on abolition of social evils programme on fanatic belief for PwDs, drug-addiction, untouchability, create awareness to stop dowry, child marriage, domestic violence, child labour etc.
  • To establish short stay home for the destitute of PWDs and old age home.
  • To raise public awareness about the constitutional provisions framed by the Govt. of India, Govt. of Odisha and the Statutory provisions in the RPWD Act and such other statutory provisions.
  • To open district level branches of the Association to expand the scope of the Association and reach the last man of the society belonging to the PWD communities.
